Transfer insights with Hana
As this transfer window is about to close, Hana Football has compiled a summary of the transfer activities of WSL teams.
1. Chelsea:
The Chelsea Women's Football team, sitting at the top of the league table, seems determined not to halt their forward momentum. They officially announced the transfer of Colombian forward Mayra Ramírez from Levante, setting a record-breaking price of €450,000 plus €50,000 in potential add-ons, this four-year-and-half deal worth £385,000.
Last weekend, Mayra had only one shooting opportunity in 23 her minutes debut versus Brighton lionesses, but her first goal won’t remained unpromising for long. In her eight appearances for Levante Women's Football this season, the Colombian striker has already scored six goals, with an astonishing shooting accuracy of 73%.
Additionally, according to the "Wolfsburg Report," Chelsea is intensifying its consideration of acquiring Wolfsburg midfielder Oberdorf. However, the 500,000 euro buyout clause in Obi's contract may pose an obstacle to completing this transfer.
2. Manchester City
Closely trailing behind Chelsea in the standings, Manchester City has quietly initiated significant moves. They have announced the renewal of a three-year contract with Hasegawa Yui. The Japanese player was nominated the Women's Ballon d'Or and she has firmly held a starting position in Manchester City's midfield over the past two years. Besides, Manchester City Women recently submitted a planning application to the Manchester City Council. They plan to invest £10,000,000 to create a training facility for the first team. The report mentions that this training facility will span up to 17,000 square feet and feature fully equipped gym, tactical analysis spaces, and hydrotherapy areas for player recovery.
3. Arsenal
For the Gunners, they have received a series of good news in the past few weeks. First, Leah's return, then they witnessed Midema, who had recovered from a serious injury for over 430 days, scoring a goal and defeating Liverpool.
In the transfer market, they have signed American right-back Emily Fox to replace Maritz, who left to join Aston Villa. The new gunner has played full-time in both matches since joining the team and has made valuable contributions.
4. Manchester United
The rumors surrounding the transfer of Mary Earps with Arsenal did not materialize. According to sources, this transfer is very likely to have been canceled. This is good news for Manchester United, who are aiming to challenge for Champions League qualification.
